Project Update(01 March 2021)

Thank you: Thank you to all persons and groups who took the time during the recent Emerging Concept Plan consultation stage (January and February 2021), and in earlier consultations during Autumn 2020 as part of listening and gathering stage, to engage with us and provide feedback and comments. This is a really important part of the site planning and design concept process and will be considered by the LDA and Project Design Team as we work towards developing a Draft Masterplan with more detailed proposals in the coming months.

Current steps: We are grateful for the high levels of engagement and helpful responses received. This will take some time to collate and consider. We will be carefully studying the issues raised by all stakeholders and will be considering and refining the proposals as presented in the Emerging Concept Plan stage. In the interest of the highest quality proposals for this landmark site, this process will invariably require a slightly longer preparation cycle than initially foreseen per our Community and Stakeholder Engagement Plan, and we expect that it will take a number of months before we will be publicising the Draft Masterplan. Our latest project roadmap reflects this timing and can be found here.

What’s next?: Once our Design Team have studied all feedback to date and considered issues raised and refinements to the design proposals, our Draft Masterplan will be published which will include view-verified photomontages and visual assessments which will accurately represent our design proposals.
